Hi Daniel,

I'm still working on evolving of your idea of building silverlight grid application for my master degree work.

I've got a little question for you =)

Because of tasks are plugins in grid application we can't know what data whould they transfer between master and slave.

So we cannot add knowntype to our grid service.

That's why i'm transfering data with dictionary<string,byte[]> : key - parameter name, value - serialized value. I'm using datacontractserializer. If we have our custom type i repoduce it in silverlight slave task manually.

For example:

    [DataContract(Name = "Coordinates3d",
        Namespace = "schemas.datacontract.org/.../...uting.Tasks")]
    public class Coordinates3d
    {
        /// <summary>
        /// X axis
        /// </summary>
        [DataMember]
        public double X { get; set; }

        /// <summary>
        /// Y axis
        /// </summary>
        [DataMember]
        public double Y { get; set; }

        /// <summary>
        /// Z axis
        /// </summary>
        [DataMember]
        public double Z { get; set; }
    }

Any thoughts how we can improve this? Or may be there is another way?

I've just removed dictionary<string,byte[]> and now transfer data with byte[], but I couldn't use object type because in this case I will need KnownTypes to be set.
